Warning Against Entertaining Devils

There are some Christians who entertain devils and seducing spirits and are being deceived by Satan (1 Timothy 4:1-2) because they are not abiding in the word of God. 1 John 4:1-6_"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the AntiChrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error." For example, there are these text messages that offers some good luck if you send them or bad luck if you don't, that are being sent around for fear of breaking a texting chain and losing a blessing from God. True born again believers knows their blessings comes from their faith in Jesus and not some man sent text. The greatest blessings we have received from God though Christ is his Holy Spirit! Because of the trials, wrestlings and temptations in this world many carnal believers at times feel like they are not experiencing the blessings of God, because they count the physical things in this life as their true blessings (1 Timothy 6:3-10), these "text for blessings" appeal to them. True born again believers know that the greatest blessings the can receive from God, through faith in Jesus Christ, is the Holy Spirit! Many people want to be blessed without being obedient and submitted to Christ, and seek to use the accumulation of material goods to prove their blessings, but those who truly know Christ know that their true wealth is in knowing Christ and his kingdom. All others things are just fringe benefits that even comes upon the ungodly (Luke 6:35; Matthew 5:45). Our true blessings is in Christ! (Galatians 3:16). God said unto Abraham, "in your Seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed, because you obeyed My voice!" (Genesis 22:18). And those who have the faith of Abraham are his children and heirs to the promised blessings (Galatians 3:6-8). This blessings is the Holy Spirit! For if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ (the Holy Spirit), he is none of his! -(Romans 8:9). "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree"), that the blessings of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith." - (Galatians 3:13-14). These manipulative "texting for good luck / blessings" are no less than godless myths, superstition and witchcraft. Paul charged Timothy to stay far from those things and encourage others to do the same (1 Timothy 4:6-7). He who obeys the word of God is truly blessed! (Luke 11:28).
